we stand before you JUNTAS by Mari Salinas. Produced by BSBS Partnership. Sneak preview Feb. 1st and 2nd.
"What do you get when you put a Muslim, a Jew, and an immigration attorney in charge of raising the political consciousness of their community?"
Three flawed but courageous Latinas and their White sister extend their efforts to build community. They share with us their triumphs and struggles with race, sex, politics, and religion as they seek voice and light.

I'm a girl who loves to break out into dance, not hearts. I'm a girl who loves to laugh. I'm a girl who loves to travel. The globe is my playfield, my education, the root of my passions. The stage is my first love. Literature gives me comfort and inspiration. Philosophy keeps my mind open. I have a B.A in Theatre and Humanities, but really I can't stop learning and I hope I never do. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with and know the women of Juntas. It has been a challenging, rocky, and lovely journey. Thank you all. If I could change the world I suppose it would be for humankind to pay the bill; humankind is seriously out to lunch. Perhaps some recognition of compassion would help us all. Furthermore the realization of what truly matters in life and how to give back to the world what we take from it. It's a constant expedition. It starts with each individual being the best person they can be one day at a time. So let us all try that out, huh? Love to my family and my wonderful friends, you make it happen!
