Sculptors of the Play - Bio

Heide Wisner

Actress as Maria, filmographer

My name is Heide. I am playing the part of Maria, an Ecuadorian Jew. This is my first time participating in theatre, and it is an HONOR to be a part of this play. This script illuminates sensitive subjects, and although it is has been a challenge, and sometimes awkward to act out issues dealing with race, religion, sexual orientation, economic status, politics, ect.; I am so grateful to be a part of a project with incredible meaning behind it. In my day to day life I am very quiet and reserved, and being able to express a variety of feelings while being Maria has been a wonderful therapy for me.

My home base is the small town of Olympia, but I tend to migrate to Brazil every year. I highly encourage everyone to travel, and if I could change one thing about the world it would be to decrease the cost of travel, and all the limitations that go along with it. That may seen a bit strange considering that there are more urgent things that need to be dealt with, but imagine if you could hop on a plane for 5 dollars and go anywhere you wanted at any time. I am sure the world would be a better place!
