BSBS Partnership

Brusilovsky/Savage/Brown/Salinas Partnership is dedicated to staging new original works and is open to the limitless possibilities theater presents. Very open to multicultural stories, multi ethnic themes and to coalitions with playwright groups such as WARP and SPS (Seattle Playwrights Studio, at Art's West) where they have been or are currently active. The partnership began in the summer of 2007 with the presentation of a workshop production of "The Woman Who Was Like Steve McQueen". The play was written by Jorj Savage Jr., directed by Roi Martin-Brown, Natalya Brusilovsky was Light Designer, and Mari Salinas played a supporting role.

What We Personally Wish To Stage

Natalya Brusilovsky

New plays Mostly local
Empowerment of THE people/ a slice of THE PEOPLE'S lives
Bring audiences together who share a similar love of the human condition in its raw and dramatic forms.
Affordable Theatre
Risk taking-we try to tell stories not often told-try to find new audiences for a different set of ideas/a different format of theatre
Start from the idea of the writer-not the idea of the established Seattle audience.
Give new writers/directors/actors/people an opportunity to explore production and be seen in public.

Mari Salinas

I hold strongly to the idea that the political, educational, economic, and social stratification of this country victimizes, excludes, silences, too many. I believe that presenting musical, visual, conceptual, literary works that address these issues and raise difficult questions is the obligation of artists and citizens of the world striving to make change happen.

"While there is a lower class I am in it; while there is a criminal element I am of it; while there is a soul in prison, I am not free."
